glimmer mists and other stories…

it’s been a while since I’ve posted something…Time flies like crazy and so much happens.
Don’t worry i won’t kill you with all boring details :) Last weekend I’ve made a cute bracelet but it survived with me less than one week. I used a bad thread and the beads started falling off :( Then I bought 12 jars of pearlex (with 40% off at Michaels :) ) and then I started mixing and mixing… homemade glimmer mists. Just in case you’re interested here is how I got it: I got a scoop of pearlex, a drop of clear school glue (to make the glimmer stay on the paper) and some water. The size of the scoop depends of the effect you want to get. Mix everything in a mini mister and you’re good to go :) After mixing the mists I made a dozen of cards for Diwali. I’ll show them after I take proper photos. Speaking about photos, I finally made a soft box so maybe now my photos will not be that crappy :) A few days ago I also made a new soutache ring. I got some ring bases from etsy and they worked perfectly.

have a great weekend!! Hope this time I will come back here sooner :)

green olives

It’s a name of a bracelet and matching earrings that made recently. Simple idea, glass beads and silver plated bead caps and here they are:

and bracelet

I have to say that green never was my color, but lately my preferences have changed a bit :)

change of topics…

After I got “woooow” about jewelry making I thought it’s time to check a jig. I got one but the infatuation didn’t last too long. Even though I manage to make one pretty cute bracelet the jig couldn’t grab my attention for too long. I finally returned it and ended up with this little bracelet with Swarovski crystals:

It’s very light to wear and looks cute on the wrist.
Now, a new thing in my head is a soutache bracelet. Can’t wait to start one :)

one more…

Since I’m in a soutache mood there is one more piece to share… of course… another pendant :)

Purple is definitely not one of my favorite colors but when combined with black looks pretty nice.

I used some glass and stone beads. The size of the pendant is about 2 in x 1.5 in but it’s still very light. to cover the back I used a piece of black felt.

Now after few pendants I really wanna make a bracelet for myself. Will see how long I can actually sit with one project :)

crazy with soutache…

Yesterday I couldn’t stand the horrible photos taken in the night so in the meantime I took some more it the daylight. :) Of course I exchange the ones from the last post but there are more to share. :) I’m excited like a little kid. So here is another soutache piece:

The stone in the middle is green serpentine with matte finish which looks nice with shiny black agate balls.
